PLEDGE!

Our prayer remains that as you seek God’s direction for your commitment level, a greater peace and earnest desire to be part of the greater vision will flood your hearts and spirit - Deuteronomy 16:17.
Together we finish strong.

Questions & Answers

#1 - Why is it important to make a commitment and complete a pledge card? Can’t I just contribute money to the Building Fund when I can, like I always do?
Completing a pledge card helps our Leadership Team plan and allocate resources with greater confidence. Pledged funds provide a reliable forecast of the support we will receive, allowing us to make informed decisions and commit to projects more effectively.

While spontaneous gifts are always appreciated, unpledged donations must be treated as unexpected “bonuses.” This uncertainty makes it difficult for the church to plan ahead or earmark those funds in advance. By committing through a pledge, you help us build a stable foundation to move forward together with clarity and purpose.

#2 - When should I make my pledge? When are people expected to actually fulfill their pledges?
Commitment Sunday – March 22nd & 29th
On Sunday, March 29th, we will hold a special time of Commitment during our Worship Service. During this service, we will invite everyone to make a financial commitment to our Generosity That Builds: Mortgage Retirement Campaign.

If you are unable to join us on March 29th, please complete your online pledge card promptly. While we will continue to accept pledges, it is important that we hear from everyone by April 5th so we can accurately assess our mortgage payoff balance based on the pledged responses.

Pledge fulfillment will begin on March 29th and continue through Sunday, October 18th. Our goal is to have all balances paid in full by October 18th. Thank you for your faithful support as we work together to secure the future of our faith community.
#3 – Why should I give?
The needs of our faith community evolve as the people within it change. Some members will come and go; others will grow their families; and many will age, facing new and different challenges. These constantly shifting dynamics make it essential for us to regularly assess our situation and envision the future, ensuring our church remains responsive and supportive to all who rely on it.

By retiring our mortgage, we free ourselves to better meet the growth and changes happening within our community. Paying off this debt will empower us to invest more fully in the ministries, programs, and outreach that nurture our shared faith and serve the needs of everyone in our community.

Giving is an OPPORTUNITY to take part in God’s master plan for Stewardship in our lives. It helps when we remember just whose earth this really is. The Word tells us it’s a truth that everything we have, including ourselves, our gifts from God. Nothing can be earned, nothing owned, nothing labeled with our name. When we remember that, our heart shifts focus. We lose sight of the “my” and “mine” of material possessions, and we reach out to worship not the gifts but the Giver.” Giving then happens naturally; fear, doubt and concern leave.
#4 – I can’t give much – why should I make a commitment since my giving won’t help?
Every gift, no matter the size, truly matters. Raising the Roof is about community generosity through equal sacrifice—not equal giving. It’s not how much you give, but that you give with a willing heart, joining together to support the vision God has placed before us.

When each person makes a commitment according to their ability, we all share in fulfilling this mission with excellence. Together, our collective generosity will allow us to finish strong as a faith community and ensure our church continues to thrive for generations to come.

Your participation matters—because this is something we accomplish:
Together As a Community - Equal Sacrifice NOT Equal Giving
